Do I have to keep any records to prove I paid the fee if I am a tire dealer?

Yes. You must keep the following records for four years (unless you receive permission from the Comptroller's Office to have the records destroyed earlier):

  • sales and purchase invoices
  • records of out-of-state sales
  • journals
  • ledgers
  • inventory records
  • bank statements
  • wholesaler certificates, where required.
