Employer Withholding Payment and Mailing Instructions
Pay by direct debit using bFile
You can file your employer withholding taxes online and pay by direct debit, using our free bFile service. Direct debit payments can be scheduled up to the due date of the filing. You also receive a confirmation that your return has been received. In addition, bFile meets the requirements for taxpayers who must file using immediately available funds.
Pay by credit card
You can pay your withholding taxes with a credit card, using American Express, Discover, Mastercard or VISA.
Electronic funds transfer
If you are making a withholding payment of $10,000 or more, you are required to make that payment electronically using electronic funds transfer (EFT). You can also pay by EFT if your payment is under $10,000. For more information, see Electronic Tax Payments.
Check, money order
When paying by check or money order, make your payment payable to Comptroller of Maryland. Be sure to include your central registration number or federal identification number on the check or money order. Do not send cash by mail. Use the envelopes included with your preprinted payment vouchers (Form MW506) to submit your reports and payments.
